Outreach Service

Are you a victim or survivor of domestic abuse, honour based abuse, forced marriage, rape or sexual assault seeking support in your own home or a safe place in the community? 

You will have:

  • Access to women only team who provide confidential, empathetic and non-judgmental person centered emotional support to South Asian women fleeing domestic violence. 

  • Support to access information to help you understand your rights and make informed decisions. 

  • Support from staff who have experience and expertise to identify risks and develop safety planning accordingly.   

  • Support from staff who can help you with things that may be worrying you like money and help you to seek job opportunities or apply for welfare benefits 

  • Access to specialist counselling services and support for your children

  • Help you to understand your rights and options

We offer:

  • Access to a fully experienced team who can provide confidential, empathetic and non-judgmental person centred emotional support to Black and Minoritised 
    victims/survivors of domestic abuse. 

  • Support to access information to help you understand your rights and make informed decisions. 

  • Support to access solicitors who can help with court orders including Non-Molestation Orders, Restraining Orders, Child Protection Orders and Forced Marriage Protection Orders. 

  • Support from staff who have experience and expertise to help you identify risks and develop safety planning accordingly.   

  • Support from staff who can help you with things that may be worrying you like money and help you to seek job opportunities or apply for welfare benefits. 

  • Access specialist counselling services and support for your children.

  • Help you to understands your rights and options.

Emergency Refuge Accommodation

Are you a victim or survivor of domestic abuse, honour based abuse, forced marriage, rape or sexual assault who needs to leave home?  Our refuge can provide safe, secure emergency accommodation for South Asian women and children. Our staff can speak to you in English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali or Mirpuri.

We offer:

  • Access to women only team who provide confidential, empathetic and non-judgmental person centred emotional support to women fleeing domestic violence.

  • Support to access information to help you understand your rights and make informed decisions.

  • Support from staff who have experience and expertise to identify risks and develop safety planning accordingly.

  • Support from staff who can help you with things that may be worrying you like your immigration, housing, money and help you to register with a GP.

  • Access to specialist counselling services and support for your children.

  • Help you to understand your rights and options.

Floating Support Service for Black and Minoritised women and children

Are you a victim or survivor of domestic abuse, honour based abuse, forced marriage, FGM, rape or sexual assault and you need help with tenancy related issues in Birmingham?

We offer:

  • Access to confidential, empathetic and non-judgmental person centred support to help with tenancy related issues including setting up accounts with gas and electricity suppliers, paying your bills, registering with local GP’s and any other support identified.

  • Support to access information to help you understand your rights and make informed decisions.

  • Access specialist counselling services and support for your children.

  • Support from staff who have experience and expertise to identify risks and develop safety planning accordingly. 

  • Support from staff who can help you with things that may be worrying you like money and help you to seek job opportunities or apply for welfare benefits.

Counselling

Roshni Birmingham Free Confidential Therapeutic Counselling
for South Asian Women Affected by Domestic Abuse

 

Sometimes those close to you can make you feel afraid or depressed. They could be a partner, ex-partner or someone else you know, an adult child or wider family members.

 

At these times of stress, anxiety and low mood can take over and interfere with all aspects of our lives.

 

Counselling can offer you an impartial perspective within a supportive therapeutic relationship to work through the issues you are struggling with. Through therapy we can help you to understand the thoughts, feelings and behaviours that cause you distress.

 

The service offers up to 5 weeks of counselling with an experienced therapist specialising in domestic abuse who is able to speak to you in English, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi or Mirpuri.
