Campaign for Roshni Birmingham
If you would like to get involved in any of our campaigns or start one of your own, please get in contact with us so we can assist you. If you have an idea, we can support you with your campaign, help you identify the target audience, support you with media exposure and advise you on how to stay safe.
Fundraise for us
We appreciate all the effort and hard work our fundraisers put into making things happen for the organisation. If it was not for the generosity of our local community, businesses, organisations and our social media family, we could not sustain the activities at Roshni Birmingham.
Some of the ways you can fundraise is by holding a coffee morning, sponsored walk, donating food and unwanted children’s items, holding a cake sale, car boot sale, etc.
Other ways you can support us are by volunteering your time, delivering posters in your local area, talking about our service, following us on social media, and referring anyone to us that may need help.
Special Thank you
We would like to especially thank all the service users who have walked through the doors of Roshni Birmingham over the past years. Every person that has accessed our support is a part of our Roshni Birmingham family and we will always be here for them.
We would like to thank our funders for funding the core costs of Roshni Birmingham, our Board for their expertise, knowledge and guidance, our staff for all their hard work and dedication around the clock, our volunteers, local businesses, local foodbanks, local schools, doctor’s surgeries, members of the public and anybody else who may have come into contact with the work of Roshni Birmingham.
Donation
Roshni Birmingham thrives upon the generosity from the community. We always welcome donations to help vulnerable victims of domestic abuse. Your donations help to bring a smile and raise the spirits of our service users. Donated money goes towards essential items, hygiene products, toys for children, to celebrate children’s birthdays, arrange outings and provide starter packs for the ladies when leaving the refuge to move into independent living.
Many victims especially those with ‘no recourse to public funds’ are unable to claim benefits straight away. Therefore, we support them with obtaining essential food and clothing. We accept Zakaat and other forms of donations to support destitute victims with no source of income.
Volunteer
If you have spare time available or you are a student looking for work experience and would like to volunteer, please get in contact with us. You can decide how many hours you would like to work and you can use the experience to build your CV.
You will have to complete an application form and DBS check.
